Shipping & Tariffs
We ship throughout the United States and Canada. Tariffs may apply. The bottle remains juice until you change the subject.
Where we ship
The United States, including its ordinary domestic mysteries, and Canada, including the parts that are mostly post office. We do not presently ship across other borders. The See of St. Grape keeps a small atlas on purpose.
What we declare

We do not declare wine, because we do not ship wine. If a bottle later becomes wine, that is a household event. Household events are not listed on the commercial invoice.
Tariffs may apply
Canada Post, USPS, and the unnamed spirits of the tariff schedule have been known to take an interest in yeast, glass, and anything that looks like it has a future. Duties, if assessed, are the recipient’s. We will pack politely. We will not argue with a code.
If a broker asks whether the juice is wine, the answer is no. If they ask whether it could become wine, the answer is that many things could, including grapes that stayed home.
Time in transit
We pack when the lot has been blessed. Carriers then do what carriers do. Glass is wrapped. Yeast is kept dry. The alb is folded so that it does not arrive as a rumor of an alb.
Damaged crates
If the bottle does not survive the journey, write to support@communionbymail.com with a photograph of the tragedy. We cannot unsay a blessing, but we can discuss a replacement bottle, which will be blessed again, because His Holiness does not like to reuse a blessing that has already been through a spill.
